Rihanna's Latest Hairstyles: steps out in a new bleached-blonde bob
She managed to pull of the season's most difficult to wear thigh-high boots, but Rihanna's newly-dyed barnet leaves everything to be desired.
The singer showed off her dyed her short cropped dark hair with fierce yellow streaks at the same time as stepping out in her brand new boots in New York last night.
She wore a sassy little dress and sexy Stella McCartney thigh-skimming perforated boots to Philippe Chow restaurant, before heading to Avenue Night Club.
And even though it was dark, she arrived at the club wearing a pair of shades.
The Stella McCartney boots, which cost £715, are a must-have item for fashionistas this season but have already sold out and have a long waiting list, even though they only suit the very long-legged.
The legging-look boots, which are made from faux leather, have dominated fashion weeks in both London and New York and there have been similar styles on the Prada and Chloe catwalks.
Celebrities such as Madonna, Lindsay Lohan, Lady GaGa and U.S. reality star Kim Kardashian are already fans of the trend.
Rihanna, 21, is preparing to release her new album and has recruited Justin Timberlake and Chase & Status to produce the record.
JT, who is rumoured to be spending a lot of time with the Umbrella singer, said at the Emmys: 'In my opinion, she’s got the world in the palm of her hand right now, based on her success with her last record.
'The stuff we’ve come up with in the studio, it’s the next step for her. It’s a little more grown up. It’s got some edge to it.'

Rihana Latest Album will release on November 23rd
The wait may soon be over for Rihanna's first official single to be released since 2008.
Deemed to preceed an album release date reported by Play.com of November 23, sources claim the as-yet-untitled single could premiere "any day now".
While the news has not be substantiated by Rihanna's team or label home, singer/songwriter Ne-Yo says fans should expect a "never heard before" Rihanna when the music debuts.
"Expect an edgier, almost angrier Rihanna on this one. Rihanna says some things on this album that you've never heard her say before," says Ne-Yo.
While the prospect of an angrier and edgier Rihannaa looks promising, in terms of creativity, Ne-Yo hopes she'll lighten up on a few songs.
"I'm not supposed to say anything but I'm going to work on as many songs as possible with her. I'm going to lighten her up. I don't want an angry Rihanna."
Rihanna's last single, titled "Rehab" was released in October of 2008. She has since been heard on Jay-Z's Billboard Hot 100 Top 5 charting single "Run This Town" alongside Kanye West.

Which makes you think it's all on purpose. Shocking.
It's as if she wants to prove beyond a doubt that those Rihanna nude pictures that surfaced earlier in the year, but were never commented on, are really her.

"Expect an edgier, almost angrier Rihanna on this one. Rihanna says some things on this album that you''ve never heard her say before," Contactmusic quoted Ne-Yo, who is working with the 21-year-old singer on the record, as saying.
It is thought Rihanna could be planning to sing about the assault, or about the violence, following which she ended her relationship with Brown.
Brown recently pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna, and has been sentenced to five years probation and six months community labour

2 LAPD officers placed on paid leave as part of Rihanna photo investigation

Two Los Angeles police officers have been placed on paid leave as part of an ongoing investigation into how a photo showing the battered face of Rihanna appeared on a celebrity website after the singer was assaulted by former boyfriend Chris Brown, according to four law enforcement sources familiar with the case.
The night before the Grammy Awards in February, Rihanna argued with Brown, who bit, punched and choked her in a rented Lamborghini in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles, leaving her bruised and bloodied, police said. Two weeks later, a photo of Rihanna that showed those injuries appeared on the entertainment gossip website TMZ.com.
The sources confirmed this week that the investigation is focused on at least two officers.
One of the officers, identified by sources as Rebecca M. Reyes, is a nine-year department veteran who was last assigned to the Wilshire Division. Her attorney told The Times that a search warrant in connection with the leak investigation had been served on her Los Angeles home.
The other officer, Blanca Lopez, is a rookie in the Hollenbeck Division and was a housemate of Reyes, according to sources.
Both have been "assigned to home" pending the outcome of the probe, according to the sources who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about it.
Attorney Ira Salzman, who is representing Reyes, confirmed that the LAPD had assigned his client to home during the investigation but added that Reyes had done nothing illegal and that department officials had not yet presented any formal allegations against her.
Salzman, who described his client as a decorated officer, would not comment on whether Reyes had taken the picture of Rihanna or had at any time possessed it.
"My client did not do anything for financial gain," Salzman said. "She did not sell the photo."
Robert Rico, the attorney for Lopez, declined to comment on the investigation.
LAPD officials also declined to discuss the probe, including who took the photograph, how it came into the possession of TMZ.com and how much, if any, money may have been paid to the officers or associates for the image. Also unclear was whether the image posted on the site was taken from a personal phone or with department-issued photographic equipment.
An LAPD spokesman, Lt. John Romero, described the investigation as a "personnel matter" and said that "we are investigating vigorously." Romero said the department would not comment on whether any officers have been assigned to home.
State law that took effect this year makes it a misdemeanor for peace officers or law enforcement employees to profit by leaking confidential reports or images.
In addition, the LAPD has adopted strict rules about recording still or video images at crime scenes. The rules were toughened last year after a series of celebrity-related arrests in which details, and even images, appeared on celebrity and gossip websites.
Donald Etra, the attorney for Rihanna -- whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty -- said he was pleased that police had gotten to the bottom of the case. He added that no victim should have to worry about such photographs being leaked. He also said his client had "nothing but praise for the LAPD."

Rihanna wants attack ban lifted on Chris Brown
RIHANNA is reportedly furious and "really upset" that ex-boyfriend Chris Brown has been ordered to stay away from her.
Brown, 20, was formally sentenced last Tuesday to five years probation for the February assault of the Umbrella hitmaker.
The singer was also sentenced to six months of community labor in Virginia after he pleaded guilty in June to one count of felony assault against Rihanna, 21.
Brown will spend 1400 hours removing graffiti and washing cars and has been ordered not to contact Rihanna (including by phone or through a third person) for the next five years. He also must stay 100 yards from her, unless they are both at an entertainment-related event, in which he must stay 10 yards away.
Rihanna, sources say, has been working to get Chris’s restraining order lifted.
"When Rihanna got word from her attorney that the judge refused to lift the ban, she was really upset," one insider told Britain’s Now magazine.

Rihanna Goes Topless For Italian Vogue

Wearing a slew of distinctive and edgy fashions, Rihanna posed for a wild pictorial in the September issue of Italian Vogue. The singer, who sang on and appeared in the video for Jay-Z's latest single "Run This Town," looks tough for the pictorial, and appears topless in one of the shots posted online.
Rihanna was shot by photographer Steven Klein (who has worked with Britney Spears and Madonna in the past), according to New York magazine's blog The Cut, and the photos will appear in a couture supplement that goes with the issue. On the cover, she appears in a Valentino dress carrying a bucket and tossing the water out.
Of course, it's the wild photos that will have everyone talking. The singer poses wearing hats, sequins, Madonna-like cone bras, garters, feathers and even rubber lips. In one daring photograph, she appears topless with strategically placed pasties, skimpy underwear and boots.
Although most of the photographs are black and white, there is one color photo, which features Rihanna wearing a turquoise dress and boots. In the photos, Rihanna sports a few hats, and in some of them fans can see her signature spiky hair.
