Rihanna spills the beans on her sex life in shock interview

POP siren Rihanna has confessed that she is “a bit masochistic” in the bedroom and likes to be tied up, spanked and whipped.

The 23-year-old beauty, who had a hit single S&M, revealed: “I love feeling like I’m somebody’s girl.

“I love to be tied up and spanked. I like to be whipped. And it’s funny that I care, but I prefer to be spontaneous.

“Using whips and chains is too planned – you have to stop and look for the whip. I prefer them to use their hands.”

The star, who has been linked to actor Colin Farrell, told Rolling Stone magazine that her sexual preferences could be linked to her difficult upbringing.

“I think I’m a bit masochistic, and I did not realise until recently.
“I think that is common in people who witnessed abuse in their childhood,” said Rihanna, who saw her dad smoking crack when she was just nine years old.

Fancy a drink from Rihanna’s tap?

Rihanna has filmed a commercial to promote UNICEF’s Tap Project, a campaign urging restaurant owners to charge $1 for tap water.

The organisation intends to use the proceeds to fund clean drinking water around the world.

Fans who donate to the cause go into the running to win a bottle of water filled from a tap in Riri’s house!

UNICEF’s light-hearted advertisement finds the superstar drinking a glass of H20, while a voiceover says “water so hot it could only come from Rihanna’s fawcet”.

It plays like a bad skit but apparently this is 100% legitimate.

Rihanna: I adore hanky spanky

RIHANNA really is a Good Girl Gone Bad - she has confessed she likes to be "tied up and spanked".

The 24-year-old singer has opened up about her sexual preferences in the bedroom.

And she said: "I love feeling like I'm somebody's girl. I love to be tied up and spanked."

But Rihanna - whose rapper ex CHRIS BROWN assaulted her on the night of the Grammys in 2009 - added that she would "prefer to be spontaneous".

She said: "Using whips and chains is too planned. You have to stop and look for the whip. I prefer them to use their hands."

The star thinks her desires are linked to her hectic career. She explained: "I like to take the reins in my life, but be submissive in the bedroom.

"I can be a little lady and have a male who has responsibility. That's sexy.

"I work hard and take a lot of decisions every day, so I prefer to feel the intimacy of someone like the girl."
The What's My Name singer, born and raised in Barbados, saw her father RONALD FENTY smoking crack when she was nine - and thinks her choices could be influenced by the behaviour she witnessed as a child.

She said: "I think I'm a bit masochistic, and I did not realise until recently.

"I think that's common in people who witnessed abuse in their childhood."

I Like To Be Spanked

Rihanna has revealed that she likes to be "submissive in the bedroom" in a candid interview with a US magazine. The Only Girl (In The World) singer, real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty, told Rolling Stone Magazine that she likes to be "spanked" during sex.

"I like to take charge, but I also love to be submissive," she says. "Being submissive in the bedroom is really fun. You get to be a little lady, to have somebody be macho and in charge of your s***. That's sexy to me… I like to be spanked." "Being tied up is fun.
I like to keep it spontaneous," she adds. The 23-year-old R&B queen, who poses in spray-on shorts on the cover of the US music magazine, also revealed that she prefers old-fashioned 'discipline' to new-fangled sex toys. "Sometimes whips and chains can be overly planned — you gotta stop, get the whip from the drawer downstairs… I'd rather have him use his hands," she says.

But the S&M singer rebuffed rumours that she is dating Hollywood actor Colin Farrell and admitted that she hasn't had a date since splitting with pro baseball player Matt Kemp last December. Talking about Farrell, she says: "We don't even have each other's numbers. I wish! He's smoking."...

How Rihanna Learned to "Actually Like" Her Body

16 March, 2011 - It's hardly debatable that Rihanna, 23, is one of the most beautiful women in music -- but like any woman, she's far too hard on her own looks. In the new Shape Issue of Vogue, the pop diva from Barbados says that she's finally learning to love the body she was born with.

"Over the holidays...I realized that I actually like my body, even if it’s not perfect according to the book," says Rihanna (who must have a different book than we do). "I just feel sexy. For the first time, I don’t want to get rid of the curves. I just want to tone it up. My body is comfortable, and it’s not unhealthy, so I’m going to rock with it."

And here's that last sentence again, in case you want to tape it over your mirror: My body is comfortable, and it's not unhealthy, so I'm going to rock with it. What a fantastic way to look at things.

Part of Rihanna's new appreciation for her body comes from testing its limitations on the set of her upcoming feature film, Battleship. The singer's trainer gave her a varied but tough routine of weight-lifting, core-strengthening and endurance exercises, until she was in the best shape of her life -- and comfortable firing a machine gun in an inflatable raft, amid seven-foot waves and sharks! ("I loved it," says the singer.)
On her first Vogue cover, Rihanna looks gorgeous in a sheer lace dress that floats from her body. With her curves and the sea in the background, she looks like a mermaid -- more specifically, sporting her current flame-red curls, she looks like Disney's Ariel. But she knows how hard it is for the average woman to feel like a cover girl.
"For a woman to accept her body the way it is, is almost impossible," says Rihanna in a behind-the-scenes video from the photo shoot.

"The grass is always greener. I think it's really important that Vogue decided to team up with me and Annie (Leibovitz) on an issue like this, that promotes loving your body the way it is, all different shapes, sizes, curves...I'm very big on dressing to my body type."

Assault incident gave edge to my music

Singer Rihanna reveals that the infamous 2009 assault by her then boyfriend has made her strong and a better songwriter.

'It actually gave me a lot of liberation. What I mean is, I was able to tap into the personal part of my music. I started to tell stories through my music that were actually my stories,' femalefirst.co.uk. quoted her as saying.
The Umbrella hitmaker was beaten black and blue by then-boyfriend Chris Brown, who is still serving his punishment for the attack. The couple split immediately after the fight.

'(In) my album before that there was still a little bit of protection, there was still an innocence to me. And what that time in my life did was kind of wake people up - it's not all a bed of roses. My life is like yours,' she added.

'It made me look at the world in a much bigger way because my life was suddenly super duper magnified. All eyes were on me. I needed that in my life to know how to say, 'F**k off!' To know how to keep my head high even in the worst of situations. I keep using the word unapologetic, but there's a freedom that has come with all of that. Where you feel like you don't have to make an excuse for being yourself,' she added.

Rihanna's Tickets For Extra Date Go On Sale

Rihanna announced that she will be playing an incredible eight shows at London's 02 Arena and the tickets go on sale today (11th March) at 9am.

The 'S&M' singer revealed that she will be playing an extra date on 21st December just before Christmas and joked that she might stay in London for the holiday period.

RiRi's tour will begin in the U.K. in October right through to December, and has already been extended several times because of the demand.

Tickets for the show will be on sale from 9am.

Ellie Goulding's releasing her Rihanna cover!

Ellie Goulding is officially releasing her cover of Rihanna's Only Girl In The World TODAY.
She originally performed the cover in Radio 1's Live Lounge for that there Fearne Cotton.

She's releasing the cover version as a B-side to her new single Lights, and is availble to download from today.
This very day!

What do you think?

We're unsure. As usual.

Only Girl In The World is a great song, GREAT, but it needs to be sung with a bit of kaPOW, don't you think?

Ellie's voice is beautiful, but it's quite floaty and light, so we don't really know if it suits the song. Hat's off to her for having the man-goolies to cover it though, we just think we prefer the original.

Chelsea Handler Puts Rihanna in the Hot Seat

Things got hot during Rihanna’s visit to Chelsea Handler’s talk show in Sydney, Australia, earlier this week. The sexy ladies greeted each other with a pat on the ass and exchanged names like “hot stuff” and “cutie” during their sit-down interview, which aired Thursday night.
The “Chelsea Lately” host broke the ice by telling RiRi, “I like your body,” before discussing her love for Australia and getting wasted at her 23rd birthday party.

The comedienne pointed out the lack of black people in the Land Down Under, which RiRi had also noticed while touring there. Plus, the red-haired singer spoke about trying to get inside Eminem’s head and shedding her clothes for a Nivea skincare campaign. “If it’s a skin product, how will I wear a long sleeve dress?” she joked.

Rihanna Visits Chelsea Lately

Model with a mic, Rihanna, is currently Down Under in Australia on the final leg of her ‘Last Girl On Earth Tour’. While in town, the 23 year old stopped by the Chelsea Lately show (which is filming from Sydney this week) for a hilarious chit-chat with host Chelsea Handler.

The pair spoke on everything from Ms. Fenty stripping down (again) for an endorsement, collaborating with Eminem, getting drunk, touring, and much more. As ever, host Handler was hilarious – begining with her introduction of Rihanna as a “singer”.

Rihanna Will Not Star in Bodyguard Remake

Rihanna is passing up an opportunity to reprise the role that Whitney Houston made famous in 1992. Instead, she says, she wants to play a 'character.'

The S&M singer is taking a road that many musicians often don't take - the road to challenging movie roles. So often you see singers portraying other singers in movies, which likely isn't stretch at all to correctly portray in a believable manner. RiRi isn't interested in taking the easy singer roles, instead she wants a role with a challenge to it.
"Absolutely not," Rihanna says. "I want to separate the two. I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time, because you can never look at them as anybody else."

The 23-year-old Barbados singer has already got a movie slated for a May 2012 release called Battleship, which is based off of the popular children's board game in the works. The movie, which also stars True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard will serve as the singer's acting debut.

"I want to play a character," said Rihanna. "My whole life is playing Rihanna, [so] being a singer [in a film] won't be a stretch for me. I like challenges, and being an actor is playing a role, being able to step into somebody else's shoes, that's the excitement."

Now, it'll remain to be seen how good she is at stepping into a character's shoes and breathing life into a new character. If she's as good at it as she makes it sound, then movie-goers could be in for a real treat next year. Until then, it seems her fans will have to settle for watching her videos if they want to see her in film format.

Rihanna rejects 'Bodyguard' role?

Rihanna's not exatly leaping at the chance to follow in Whitney Houston's footsteps on the silver screen.

Last Month Warner Bros. confirmed that it was moving ahead with remake of its 1992 hit film The Bodyguard. When asked if she'd be open to playing the lead role, The "S&M" singer told OK! magazine, "Absolutely not!"
Rihanna thinks the role wouldn't be a challenge because she's already a singer in real life, so playing one in a movie isn't a stretch. “I want to separate the two," she explained. "I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time because you can never look at them as anybody else."

"I want to play a character," Rihanna said. "My whole life is playing Rihanna, (so) being a singer (in a film) won't be a stretch for me. I like challenges and being an actor is playing a role, being able to step into somebody else's shoes, that's the excitement."

While Rihanna has been linked to various film projects, like a remake of The Last Dragon, she'll be hitting theaters across the country in Battleship later this year.

Ellie Goulding WILL release Rihanna cover

Yay!

Ellie Goulding has confirmed she will release her beautiful cover of Rihanna’s Only Girl as a B-side to her new single Lights. Ellie is certainly proving her stripes when it comes to the fine art of banging out a good cover - see her cover of Your Song by Elton John for more details.
The singer first performed the track for Fearne Cotton on Radio One’s Live Lounge back in December and ever since then we have been frantically You Tubing to get another listen. Unlike with Your Song, this time we didn't have to watch the John Lewis ad on loop.

Lights is due to be released March 11th (which is tommorow, how convenient!) and Ellie is currently in the studio recording her second album, which she reckons has a ‘darker’ sound to her previous stuff. We can't wait to hear it!

But for now we are loving this version of Only Girl and almost prefer it to the original. Which one do you prefer?

Rihanna's the only girl for us

March 12, 2011 - RIHANNA took to the Entertainment Centre stage last night and was sexy, sassy and certainly on the prowl.

She opened with Only Girl in the World, and fans at the sold-out show screamed as if she was. A deafening roar erupted when the pint-sized singer took centre stage in a colourful dress that was discarded a song later for Hard - a sexually charged song featuring shirtless male back-up dancers dressed as soldiers. It was during this number that Rihanna climbed atop a hot pink military tank and straddled the canon in a glittering bodysuit.
It was not a soft start to the show, with the 23-year-old taking to beating up a car with a baseball bat for her hit Shut Up and Drive.

The singer has toured the nation with her Last Girl on Earth show heavy on flesh flash, sexual innuendo and not-so-subtle lyrics, treating audiences to a visual transformation that confirms she really is a Good Girl Gone Bad.

While her radio-friendly tunes appeal to scores of teens and children, the on-stage translation of Rihanna's music is not for the faint-hearted, young or impressionable.

From her on-stage antics to parading around in a seemingly endless series of provocative outfits, Rihanna is all about giving her concert fans value.

She has toured relentlessly since she first topped international charts in 2005.

Rihanna takes a break to party

March 12, 2011 - WHEN pop superstar Rihanna wants to party, she goes to Adelaide's Electric Circus. The Barbados-born singer let her hair down with tour DJ Calvin Harris and comedian and ladies man Arj Barker at the popular Crippen Place club after her Thursday night concert at the Entertainment Centre.

Although initially escorted up to exclusive bar, Limbo, which was reserved for the star entertainer, 23, Rihanna later insisted she be taken downstairs to EC, where Calvin was playing a sold-out gig.
Mixing with average punters on the dancefloor - albeit behind two burly security guards - Rihanna partied the night away with her dancers and members of her band.

Electric Circus promotions manager Stuart Duckworth says the sexy singer had an amazing time.

"She loved it, she told us she thought it was one of the coolest clubs in Australia. She was very surprised Adelaide has a place like it," he says.

End of sidebar. Return to start of sidebar.

"She was very relaxed, waving to people and having a few drinks with her crew.

The singing sensation kicked on until about 3am before her team of minders left the club.

Later, Rihanna tweeted: "Australia ROCKS!! Adelaide, what a night." Rihanna has been keeping a low profile while on tour in Australia and hasn't been out drinking with her entourage.

Rihanna Tickets 2011 More Dates for Loud Tour Announced

Rihanna has a busy year ahead indeed, no doubt dazzling us with her highly anticipated 2011 tour. The Barbadian R&B recording artist continues to impress us through her power-packed performances and domination of the billboard charts. Rihanna’s Grammy award winning success undoubtedly establishes her as one of the most talented, intriguing and influential artists of our time.
Rihanna’s 2011 tour, inspired by her 2010 album “Loud”, kicks off in the UK in August with additional dates now extending through December. The eighth UK show will take place in London at the O2 Arena on December 21, 2011. Rihanna’s success in the UK has no doubt inspired the extended tour dates. The singer has sold over 10 million records in the UK as well as receiving the Brit Award for Best International Female Solo Artist.

Rihanna verified the UK date additions on Twitter: “We just made history!!! 8 shows @ London O2 Arena. Thank you UK!!! First 7 sold out!! If #8 goes we just may spend the rest of the year in London.”

Due to popular demand, many of the UK shows have already sold out and many of the other shows have only limited availability. Tickets for the December 21st show at the O2 Arena will go on sale March 11, 2011.

Rihanna's taste never changes

March 11, 2011 - IT was a case of stick with what you know for Rihanna on Wednesday night when she visited her favourite Sydney restaurant Beppi's for the fourth time in a week.

After three visits last week and an attempted meal on Sunday night (alas, the East Sydney diner was closed), RiRi returned again this week after her taping of Chelsea Lately.

This time she dined on scampi, a plate of gnocchi and pasta casareccia.

"She has a healthy appetite for someone so slim," one diner said.

Rihanna 'nervous' before Eminem collab

Rihanna has said that she was 'nervous' before recording 'Love The Way You Lie' with Eminem. Speaking to Chelsea Handler she said: 'He called me and I was completley ecstatic that Eminem wanted to do a song with me.

'(But) I was really nervous. I was such a huge fan and then you see his eyes. There's so much going on- it blows your mind to see someone with so many thoughts and emotions.

'You just want to know what thoughts are going through his mind.'

Rihanna rolls into Perth

March 11, 2011 - SHE racked up a big bill at a sex shop in Sydney, but where will Rihanna visit while she's in Perth?

The provocative superstar will perform at Burswood Dome tomorrow night, and her representatives are keeping her movements in the west under wraps.

Her crew has rolled up to their CBD hotel in two buses this afternoon.
Also during her time in Sydney she hit the boutiques (snapping up a dress by Australian label Camilla and Marc) and spent a couple of hours browsing a high-end lingerie store before hitting up Christian Louboutin .

Rihanna showed if she finds a good thing she’ll stick to it, after visiting the same Sydney restaurant four times in one week.

Hard to miss with her bright red hair extensions, sexy wardrobe and security posse, if you spot Rihanna in Perth or snap a pic let us know at entertainment@perthnow.com.au

Rihanna Rules Out The Bodyguard Remake

Pop star Rihanna has revealed that she has no interest in starring in the planned remake of the 90’s classic movie The Bodyguard.

In an interview with OK, the ‘What’s My Name?’ singer totally ruled herself out of following in the footsteps of fellow singer Whitney Houston because , as a singer, she just wants to concentrate on her music career and besides, she added that she hates it when singers make singing movies…
“I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time because you can never look at them as anybody else,”
She then said that for future movie roles she doesn’t want to play a singer as she would rather take on a role that would be a challenge for her…
“I want to play a character. My whole life is playing Rihanna, being a singer [in a film] won’t be a stretch for me. I like challenges and being an actor is playing a role, being able to step into somebody else’s shoes, that’s the excitement.”
