Rihanna hospitalized after performance

Rihanna is feeling fine after a brief hospital stay Monday night. People.com reports the 22-year-old checked herself into a private clinic after a concert performance in Zurich, Switzerland.

Her rep said the singer ``had an injured rib and went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn't.'' Rihanna continued the European portion of her Last Girl on Earth tour Tuesday night with a concert in Lyon, France.

She is expected to perform in Marseille on Wednesday.

NEW YORK: Umbrella hit maker Rihanna is recovering well after she suffered a rib injury and was hospitalized in Zurich, Switzerland. According to People.com, after giving a performance, the 22-year-old popstar was admitted to a private clinic because of an injured rib.

"Riri went to have it looked at to be sure it was nothing serious, and it wasn't. All is OK and the tour is going great," Rihanna's rep said.

The singer performed in Lyon, France, carrying on the European leg of her 'Last Girl on Earth' tour, reports The New York Daily News.
Rihanna is also expected in Marseille as a part of her tour.

Rihanna uses the web to keep in touch with her boyfriend.

The hitmaker and Matt Kemp chat online when she is away to keep the spark alive in their romance. Rihanna, who is in Paris, France, on her Last Girl on Earth tour, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It would have been so cool if he was here. We have to make do with Skype and the telephone, but I miss him.

"And this is the most romantic town. I can't wait to see him again. It will probably be when I get back to America that we can hook up properly."

Rihanna, Florence & The Machine and Pendulum in Bangor

Florence & The Machine, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Dizzee Rascal, Pendulum and Cheryl Cole will all perform at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Bangor, on 22 and 23 May.

Chris Moyles unveiled the line-up of over 30 UK and international artists who will be playing on the two main stages during his show, with a bit of help from fellow Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe.

Other artists include Scouting for Girls, Biffy Clyro, JLS, the Lostprophets, Kids in Glass Houses and Marina & The Diamonds.

BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend is the station's flagship event and the UK's biggest free ticketed festival. Around 40,000 fans can enjoy performances from four stages in Vaynol Estate - the Main Stage; the In New Music We Trust Stage; the Outdoor Stage and the BBC Introducing Stage.

For listeners tuning in there will also be exclusive Live Lounge sessions broadcast from backstage.

Rihanna set to play Big Weekend

Rihanna, Alicia Keys and Florence And The Machine will top the bill at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.

Cheryl Cole, JLS and Dizzee Rascal will join them at the radio station's annual extravaganza, which takes place at Vaynol Estate, Bangor, North Wales on May 22 and 23.

Other acts taking to the stage include Scouting For Girls, Pixie Lott, Ellie Goulding, Vampire Weekend, Biffy Clyro, Lostprophets, Justin Bieber and Marina And The Diamonds.

Jason Carter from Radio 1 said: "We've pulled out all the stops for our tenth Radio 1's Big Weekend with an outstanding line-up of the best UK and international talent, along with new and emerging artists."



Fans have to register for the free tickets, which are available now via ballot.

When Seacrest asked who is Kemp to her, she hesitantly said, “He’s my boyfriend.” However, Rihanna was quick to say that while the relationship is real, it isn’t super serious, “It’s new and its fun and it’s nothing too serious,” Rihanna explained. “I don’t want anything that’s gonna take up so much of my energy and time right now in a bad way. I just wanna have fun and that’s what it’s about.”

While she and Kemp aren’t too serious, she is getting ready the upcoming nuptials of a couple who definitely are. Her best friend, Katy Perry is set to wed Russell Brand and Rihanna is planning Perry’s bachelorette party.
