Rihanna's 'see you next Tuesday' slip of the tongue

Last week she was being told to cover up by a farmer, this week she's been told to watch her mouth, Rihanna has official become the good girl gone bad.

The We Found Love singer, who is the cover girl of the November issue of Vogue UK, has told the fashion bible of her fondness for using the 'c' word and why she just wants to be left alone to make music.

"That word is so offensive to everyone in the world except for Bajans. You know African-Americans use the n-word to their brothers? Well, that's the way we use the c-word," the Barbados-born pop star said.
Her mentor, Jay-Z, wasn't the one who pulled her up on her foul mouth but a member of her entourage.

"When I first came here, I was saying it like it was nothing, like, 'Hey, c...,' until my makeup artist finally had to tell me to stop. I just never know."

The 23-year-old graced the cover of the magazine wearing a short blonde wig and adorned in never seen before Armani Prive couture.

She also spoke about how different the real "Ri Ri" is from her onstage persona who sings and thrusts about on stage in barely-there costumes to her chart topping hits including S&M.

"That's not me. That's a part I play. You know, like it's a piece of art, with all these toys and textures to play with," she added.

"They want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead. The things I say in my songs, they expect it of me, and [being a role model] became more of my job than I wanted it to be. But no, I just want to make music. That's it."

The in-depth interview, her first in a number of years, also touched on her turbulent past and the highly publicised relationship with R&B singer Chris Brown.

"I saw too much. I was too mature for my age," she said of her upbringing in a broken home, shattered further by the effects of domestic violence.

"God doesn't give any more than you can handle. I had to get through a lot of ups and downs – big downs – and a lot of trial and error to get where I am now."

Rihanna gets waxed at Madame Tussauds

Rihanna has been immortalised in wax.

The Loud singer was honoured with her own waxwork at London's Madame Tussauds museum where she took centre stage at the attraction's interactive Music Zone alongside Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga and the late Amy Winehouse.

The model of Rihanna - who is famed for her sexy outfits - is wearing the raunchy long black dress she donned to perform her duet with Matt Cardle on the UK final of The X Factor last year, complete with a bright cherry red hair-do.
Liz Edwards, PR Manager at the attraction, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to Madame Tussauds London. Her inclusion couldn't be more timely as her Loud tour arrives in the capital this week. We are sure she will hit the right note with our guests as demand for her figure has been huge since her appearance on The X Factor 2010.

"Rihanna is one of the biggest music stars of the moment and is a perfect addition to the 'diva dream team' of female artists we have here at the attraction."

The figure took four months to complete at a cost of £150,000 (NZ$307,000).

Other stars to have waxworks at Madame Tussauds include Justin Bieber, David Beckham and Brad Pitt.

Rihanna Says C Word Is Offensive To Everyone Except Bajans

Rihanna reveals just what she thinks about her cunt necklace. (see below). Rihanna also has a real issue with being a role model, as a matter fact she loathes the responsibility. The Rude Boy singer saw her sexy wax figure on display in the UK this week alongside Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga. Rihanna’s wax figure flaunts her envious shape while showing off just enough skin to tell you she’s no saint of a rock star.

Rihanna is also on the November cover of British Vogue and finally speaks on that darn cunt word necklace she insist on wearing. We’ve stated before we think it’s part of her image and works quite well.
The S&M singer did admit that she’s playing a part and her antics can be summed up as such. But the c-word necklace may be less of a marketing ploy and more of Rihanna’s familiarity with the word.

She tells UK Vogue,

“That word is so offensive to everyone in the world except for Bajans. You know African-Americans use the N-word to their brothers? Well, that’s the way we use the C-word,” Rihanna explains. “When I first came here, I was saying it like it was nothing, like, ‘Hey, c–t,’ until my makeup artist finally had to tell me to stop. I just never know.”

It’s hard to believe as the Ambassador for Barbados tourism that the island wants to be associated with wholly believing that cunt is an interchangeable word for friend/girl. But Rihanna is making one point clear, she knows how everyone interprets the word and yet she continues to wear it – so there – take it or leave. Is it also unfair for parents to assign role model titles to pop stars???

Rihanna Says She's Pregnant By...

Rihanna tweeted that she's pregnant! The "We Found Love" singer was spotted leaving the Clarence Hotel after her concert in Belfast, Ireland over the weekend.

Earlier in the day a fan tweeted Rihanna saying, "Wanted to buy Rihanna CDs had to stop when someone told me that she is the princess of illuminati and she sold her soul for fame."

This is pretty hard for a sane person to believe, so since the fan was willing to believe anything, Rihanna replied:
"When will u idiots ever learn? She didn't tell u I'm also pregnant with a polka dot zebra??? Its too easy..."

So there you have it, Rihanna is going to have a baby by a polka dot zebra! We believe her too, because she's the princess of the Illuminati! #Sarcasm#

'I'm Playing a Part' ‎

POP diva Rihanna has compared herself to a “piece of art”.

The What’s My Name? hitmaker told Britain’s Vogue magazine that, with her sexed-up image, she’s just playing a part.

“That’s not me,” she said.

“That’s a part I play. You know, like it’s a piece of art … I just want to make music. See, people – especially white people – they want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead. The things I say in my songs, they expect it of me and being a role model became more of my job than I wanted it to be. But no, I just want to make music. That’s it.
“I don’t ever want to be a theme because then it belongs to someone, and that’s not right. I want to cultivate something that’s part of my personal swagger – whatever my mojo tells me, that’s what I’m going to do…”

Meanwhile, it’s been claimed Rihanna “fancies the pants off” British boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy.

The star — who previously dated singer Chris Brown and baseball star Matt Kemp — chose the hunk to take part in her new music video for single We Found Love and while shooting in Northern Ireland she has been particularly taken with him, even sitting on his lap during one break.

“Rihanna was making no secret that she fancied the pants off Dudley. They hit it off straight away. She had seen his modelling shots and other pictures when he was a boxer,” a source said.

“Rihanna took every opportunity to get close to him and at one point she was sitting in his lap during a break from filming. She’s very tactile anyway, but this was something else.”

Rihanna Rocks Out in Rio as Katy Perry Cheers From The Audience

As Rihanna rocked out on the Rock in Rio stage, her friend Katy Perry cheered her on from the audience! The “Teenage Dream” singer supported her pal just after she herself took the stage earlier in the night to open up the festival.

Although the two are often head-to-head for the top spot on the charts, they keep a tight friendship and are always cheering each other on! Rihanna tweeted following her performance, writing:

“@katyperry I love you! Had a blast 2nt, missed kickin it witcho CRAY azz.”

Aside from opening up for one of the biggest music festivals in the world, RiRi’s latest single “We Found Love” quickly made its way to the top ten on the iTunes charts. She showed her appreciation to her fans by tweeting:

Rihanna Makes Surprise Appearance on ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’

Rihanna lends her star power to the season premiere of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” On the two-hour episode, which airs Sunday at 7 p.m. on ABC, the pop star surprises volunteers from Steps & Stages disabled women veterans agency backstage at her “LOUD” concert.

First Lady Michelle Obama also lends a hand to help build a home for a woman and her son who provide housing and support to homeless female veterans. Check out a sneak peek.

Rihanna Drops 'We Found Love'; New Album Due Nov. 21

Rihanna goes clubbing in "We Found Love," the singer's new Calvin Harris-produced track off her just-announced sixth album. Thumping beats, airy vocals and repetitive synth keyboard riffs punctuate the upbeat dance jam.

The lyrics to "We Found Love" are equally as shimmery as the music: "Yellow diamonds in the light; And we're standing side by side. As your shadow crosses mine; What it takes to come alive."

Ri revealed the song title on Monday in a Twitter post. "NP: 'WE FOUND LOVE,'" she said. "We Found Love" was produced by Harris, the Scottish producer/DJ whose single "Bounce" is currently at No. 11 on the Dance Airplay chart. The single is reportedly being released on Oct. 11, although Island Def Jam has yet to confirm the release date.
In equally awesome news, it was also revealed Thursday that the singer's new album will be released Nov. 21. She hinted last week on Twitter that a new release would drop "THIS FALL!!!!!" Though an official title has not been announced, Rihanna has simply described the new disc as "GangstaR."

Her upcoming release will mark Rihanna's sixth studio album since her "Music of the Sun" arrival in 2005 and will come nearly a year after her last set, "Loud," was released in November of 2010. This sort of rapid-fire release pattern isn't new for the star: since 2005, she's dropped a new album every year except for 2008.

"Loud" debuted and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold 1.5 million copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan. It has spawned six Billboard Hot 100 hit singles, and of those, three were No. 1s: "Only Girl (In the World)," "What's My Name?" (featuring Drake) and "S&M" (featuring Britney Spears). "Loud" is her second-biggest selling album next to only 2007's "Good Girl Gone Bad" (2.7 million).

"Loud's" most recent hit, "Cheers (Drink to That)," became the album's fourth top 10 this week, as it climbed 11-10 in its seventh week on the tally.

Meet Rihanna's cousin who hopes to follow the Rated R singer up the pop charts

A cousin of pop queen Rihanna has vowed to follow in the singer's footsteps.

Wynta Nuvo is currently making her first album and plans to consult with the Rated R singer on how to become a star.

The 21-year-old, who has just returned from a trip to Barbados where she was visiting family - including Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty, said: 'I've just finished making Rihanna a mix-tape of seven songs and I want to see her personally to give it to her.'

Describing her music, Wynta said: 'I’ve been rapping and singing since I was little. I do a mixture of rap and pop, the Caribbean really inspires me. I’m creating dance music too, going down the highway dancing in your car type music.'

Wynta, who now lives 2,000 miles from Barbados in Atlanta, Georgia, returned to her native home this month, staying a stones throw from where Rihanna grew up as a child.
She is close friends with Rihanna’s little brother Rajad but has only met her superstar cousin twice because she left Barbados at such a young age.

Wynta admits she still gets 'anxious' around her celebrity relative because she is so famous.

She said: 'I first met her last year, when she came back for the funeral of the Prime Minister David Thompson. I saw her at the beach afterwards, she was buying a Bob Marley T-shirt. I said "Hello I’m your cousin Wynta" and she said "It’s nice to meet you".

'She was digging my tattoos. I have a French prayer tattooed on my wrist. We didn't get to chat for very long sadly as she was on the go and was holding up the whole road of traffic.'

Wynta, who also works as a model, was a special guest of Rihanna’s at her homecoming concert at the Kensington Oval last month.

She said: 'I thought it was really, really good. She was awesome.'

Wynta says: I’m extremely inspired by her. Beyonce is trying to be like Rihanna but Rihanna is just way more edgy and natural - she doesn’t have to try.'

Wynta, currently unsigned, dreams that one day she might collaborate with Rihanna.

'It would be cool to do that. We would have to do a compelling new song – or maybe I could do a rap on California King Bed,' she said.

Wynta is related to Rihanna via her deceased father Trevor.

He was the first cousin of Rihanna’s dad Ronald Fenty. The pair grew up together in Barbados meaning Wynta is especially close to her 'uncle Ronald'.

And Ronald is also backing her for stardom.

Asked if she could be as big as Rihanna, he said: 'I would like to believe so. She does party music that gets you to jump about. I think it's fantastic.'

Coldplay drummer wanted Rihanna's vocal

Coldplay drummer Will Champion wanted to sing Rihanna's part on one of the group's new tracks.

The 'Fix You' rockers teamed up with the 'S&M' singer for 'Princess of China' - which is on their forthcoming album 'Mylo Xyloto' - but frontman Chris Martin admits she had competition from Will.

He said: "There's a bit of a love story thread so we really needed someone to sing higher than me. For all Will's good intentions, he can't do it. You need to be female."

Chris also revealed the group's fifth studio album is "dangerously close" to being a musical.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Our new record is sort of a story through its 14 tracks - it's not quite a musical, but it's dangerously close."

The album was recorded in London and Chris has previously said the input of guitarist Jonny Buckland has been particularly prevalent.

Referring to one of the tracks on the album, he said: "'Hurts Like Heaven' is all Jonny. It only has two chords. The songs are group-y, its guitar-y. Johnny is coming out of his cocoon. We're just trying some risky things."

Rihanna Drops 'We Found Love' Single

Rihanna has been amping up her fans for the release of her new single, "We Found Love." In a flurry of tweets on Wednesday, she shared with fans the lyrics to the Calvin Harris-produced track, as well as the single's cover art.

It all led up to the single's release on Thursday (September 22) morning on Facebook and the radio. As you would expect from a producer like Harris, "We Found Love" is a party-ready track. A synthy keyboard plays as Rihanna sings the opening lines of the song. It's a pretty sparse dance track that simply plays up her robotic-like vocals, a pulsing beat and a synth sound. The layers of the song are found in her vocals and Harris' production.
On the song, Ri sings about finding that special someone. "Yellow diamonds in the light/ And we're standing side by side/ As your shadow crosses mine/ What it takes to come alive/ It's the way I'm feeling, I just can't deny/ But I've gotta let it go," she sings on the first chorus.

The chorus simply features the line "We found love in a hopeless place" repeated four times. On the second verse, she sings, "Shine a light through an open door/ Love and life I will divide/ Turn away 'cause I need you more/ Feel the heartbeat in my mind/ It's the way I'm feeling, I just can't deny/ But I've gotta let it go."

For the art, Rihanna is punked out in a pompadour, loose-fitting jeans, chains, a denim jacket and chunky boots. She looks fiercely into the camera, arms crossed as she walks through the city.

Both Rihanna and Harris are giving the single four thumbs up. "Excited for people to hear the new @rihanna song, i can tell u she sounds like an #angel !" Harris tweeted.

After the song dropped, Rihanna had this message for her fans: "*pulls out glow stick*."

"We Found Love" serves as the lead single off Rihanna's as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2010's Loud album. The album is set to drop in November.

Rihanna Strips Down In Sexy New Armani Jeans And Underwear Ads

Armani has rolled out another batch of photos from Rihanna‘s campaign for its jeans and underwear line after unveiling the first on last Thursday, and the photos keep getting sexier and sexier.

In a couple of the new ads, the blonde wig-sporting pop darling works it in the glossy, black and white shots, posing in jeans, a leather jacket and a bra, while in a few others, she strips down to nothing but her undies.

The campaign was shot by famed photographer Steven Klein and has already started running in magazines and on billboards.

Rihanna Bares All For New Armani Underwear Campaign

Rihanna, already the face of the Armani Jeans campaign, has taken over the lingerie side of things as well. Sprawled seductively across the seat of a black Lincoln Continental, Rihanna balances her short, androgynous haircut with a lace-detailed bra, high heels, and a killer body.

The photographer, Steven Klein, keeps the advertisement from heading in the pin-up direction by playing with shadows and body angles, maintaining Armani's high fashion image. What do you think of Rihanna's latest venture for her Armani campaign?

Skip the mirror Rihanna?

She recently turned heads as a sultry blonde for the Armani Jeans campaign.

But Rihanna looked rather less put-together as she left a music video shoot in New York yesterday.

The singer stepped out in an odd combination of denim shorts and a tuxedo top.

The normally smouldering 23-year-old looked slightly awkward in her unusual outfit.

Her black velvet tuxedo jacket covered a white shirt buttoned to the neck.

Hot or not? Rihanna steps out wearing leather tracksuit bottoms - but there's no way she's jogging in those heels
oodness she wore underwear: Lady Gaga steps out in sheer lace dress

She also wore a bow tie, with a crucifix-shaped pin fastening the top of her shirt.

This masculine look clashed strangely with her faded denim shorts and sexy hold ups, which in turn didn't match her chunky black patent shoes.
The androgyny of Rihanna's look was accentuated by her Elvis-styled hair, which sat in a roll on top of her head.

Nevertheless, the amount of leg on show was typical of the singer, who had been spotted looking unusually conservative earlier in the day wearing a very prim black jumper and trousers.

Rihanna steps out wearing leather tracksuit bottoms

She rounded out the ensemble with a simple black sweater, black and white checked heels and a conservative gold necklace.

For Rihanna, at least, this was a relatively low-key outfit.

Whether you like or hate her fashion choices, no one can dispute the fact that the Bajan beauty is a risk-taker when it comes to clothing.

Her penchant for thigh-high boots, rainbow-coloured hair and bondage-like outfits are some of the reasons she was chosen to feature in the latest Armani Jeans campaign.
In the advert, the Russian Roulette singer looks androgynous wearing a blonde, mop-like wig.

She shows off her feminine abs in a cropped, midriff baring top and skin tight lyrca trousers while also wearing chunky leather boots.

She poses in front of a car with a moody expression on her face; she looks like one tough woman.

The photo was taken by Steven Klein, well known for his W magazine editorials with Madonna, Brad Pitt and various other famous faces.

Rihanna sues ex-owner over leakage in the house

Singer Rihanna has filed a lawsuit against the former owner of her mansion following water leakage in the house.

According to TMZ, the 23-year-old has filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming that the woman knew about the problems in the building, including numerous waterproofing defects, evidence of water intrusion and construction issues.

In addition to the former owner, she is also suing the inspector, real estate agents involved with the sale and engineers involved with the house.

Rihanna claims that "the actual value of the property at the time of purchase, taking into consideration the extensive construction defects... was millions of dollars less" than the price she paid for it.
She alleges said that the vendor she bought the house from deceived her by failing to make her aware of various major defects with the property including water leakage.

The singer had to spend a reported $6.9 million on the two-storey mansion in Beverly Hills that she purchased in 2009.

RIHANNA is reportedly planning to adopt a baby!

Sources say the singer — who previously confessed she’s scared of childbirth — wants to to give a home to a Haitian orphan,

“She’s dead-set on becoming a mom to a child from Haiti, and she’s just had lawyers make contacts,” a source said.

“Rihanna doesn’t see herself having a biological child anytime soon because she doesn’t have a man in her life — plus, after all the drama with Chris Brown, she’s suspicious of guys.

“But mainly, she says, she needs to make her life less about her and more about someone else.
“She’s getting enthusiastic support from mentor Jay-Z and wife Beyonce and asked them to be godparents!

“This is about Rihanna getting out from under herself and making a difference in the world — starting with one child!”

Rihanna Left Furious Over Leaking $6.9 Million Home

Rihanna bought herself a nice $6.9 million home in Beverly Hills but now the singer is has filed a lawsuit against the previous owner who sold her it because it leaks!

The 'Cheers (Drink To That)' singer has been left far from impressed as her two-story L.A. mansion, that she bought in 2009, leaks when it rains and has issues with the structure.

RiRi's decided that enough is enough and has filed a lawsuit at the Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming the the vendor knew about the issues which includes evidence of water intrusion, construction problmes, waterproofing defects and more, reports TMZ.

After her home was hit by a "moderate rainstorm" early last year, her dream home suffered serious damage after leaks occurred.
Rihanna's legal documents state "the actual value of the property at the time of purchase, taking into consideration the extensive construction defects... was millions of dollars less" than the cash she stumped up for it.

RiRi's thought to be taking legal action against many of those involved in the sale of the house.

Rihanna Gets Waxed

The wax figure, which was unveiled at Madame Tussaud's in Berlin, Germany, shows Rihanna getting her naughty on with suspenders, a skimpy leotard-type and red hair.

Hot, sexy, raw, attention-grabbing...and disturbingly real!

Almost exactly a year ago, Madame Tussauds paid tribute to Rihanna with a wax statue in her likeness.

Now, the museum's Berlin branch has released a RiRi paraffin twin of its own. While the 2011 edition of the fly girl's clone has nearly an identical pose and facial expression as the original, it has been updated with the Barbados singer's more recent red coif, new tattoos and one of the 23 year old's many funky outfits.

The RnB singer recently got rid of her shocker red locks in turn for a more natural look and has been donning her natural curls of late and has gone a more demure dark brown.

Rihanna slammed for wearing ostrich feather outfit

The pop superstar has come under fire from animal rights group PETA over an outfit she wore recently that featured ostrich feathers.

The Umbrella singer wore a turquoise feathered top and matching trousers by Lincolnshire-born designer, Antonio Berardi, for an appearance at the House of Fraser department store on London’s Oxford Street to promote her new perfume, Reb’l Fleur, two weeks ago.

And the star has come under attack for her choice of attire.

PETA spokeswoman, Sandra Smiley, told the Daily Star newspaper: ‘Rihanna is flaunting stolen property, in this case feathers possibly plucked right off their rightful owners' backs.’

Oh dear. Smiley continued: ‘She has shown little regard for foxes, cows and reptiles, now she's adding birds to the list of species exploited for her dubious looks. Feathers are often ripped off chickens, geese, ostriches and emus in live plucking. This can result in gaping wounds that are sewn up with a needle and thread without anaesthetic.’

Smiley also mentioned Rihanna’s own brush with violence, when she was attacked by then-boyfriend and fellow pop star, Chris Brown, in an altercation in 2009.

She said: ‘We keep hoping that Rihanna, a victim of violence herself, will learn to open her heart and start empathising with the suffering of others. That includes the animals who are beaten, gassed, electrocuted and poisoned to be turned into fashion accessories.’

I feared bug was going to kill me: Rihanna’s dad

RIHANNA'S father feared he was going to die after being struck down by a killer tropical disease.

Ronald Fenty, 57, was rushed to hospital when he was struck down by dengue fever.

Speaking as he recuperated, Ronald said: "It was horrible. I thought I was going to die." And he revealed he had no way of contacting Umbrella star Rihanna, 23 – real name Robyn – until one of his daughter's pals lent him a phone.

He said: "I was actually in a hospital ward that Robyn's friend worked in as a doctor. She offered me her BlackBerry to call Robyn. I called her and she was worried – she said, 'Daddy, what's wrong with you?'."
Despite the peril, Ronald reassured his daughter – now back in LA after a pals' holiday in Europe – that he would be fine.

He added: "Luckily I pulled through after a scary few days."

The pair were once estranged over Ronald's crack addiction but are fully reconciled.

Rihanna's half-sister Kandy – who, like Ronald, lives in the island's capital Bridgeton – said yesterday: "It was dengue fever. He was bad. We were worried."

She added: "He's a good guy. He's made mistakes like everybody does but you learn from them. He loves all his children but he's very proud of Rihanna."

Rihanna’s £215k on girly yacht hol

RIHANNA would need more than a boot of a Volvo estate to fit the drink she necked on her booze cruise.

The star forked out £200K hiring a yacht for the past week for her and her pals – and they drank the boat dry.

The Bajan singer has been bongoed until 6am every night and getting straight back on it the next day.

After flying to Nice, south of France, on Monday, Rihanna has spent the last five days on a no-expense-spared trip to St Tropez, Cannes and Italy's Portofino and Sardinia.

One thing you can't call her is tight – she's been splashing around £3K a day on Champagne and meals out for her and her mates.

She's also been tipping crew and waiters around 100 euros a time.
A source said: "The crew ordered the maximum amount of Laurent-Perrier Champagne they thought a few girls could down in a week, but they drank it all in just over a day.

"By midday on Monday they had sunk 12 bottles. On their nights out they ordered Moët & Chandon Champagne, Grey Goose vodka and Red Bull, each bill going into thousands."

Wednesday turned out to be a heavy afternoon. After downing bottles of bubbly at lunch, they decided to go diving in San Fruttuoso Bay, off Portofino.

But rather than seeing the Christ Of The Abyss statue there under the water, Rihanna grappled with her mates and flashed her bits before getting back on the boat.

A source added: "She wanted to go jetskiing but the crew said she was too drunk – so the girls just carried on boozing."

Good job the cruise ended in Cannes yesterday, Rihanna is expected at the MTV Music Video Awards in LA tomorrow night.

Rihanna on Shaq's love interest list

AN E-MAIL exchange between former basketball player Shaquille O’Neal and Newsweek journalist, Allison Samuels, has revealed that the sportsman had a thing for Barbados-born singer, Rihanna.

The racy e-mails between O’Neal and Samuels were reportedly exchanged in 2008 when O’Neal is believed to have rekindled his relationship with his wife, Shaunie. The couple had separated in 2007.

The Los Angeles Times newspaper alleged that Samuels sent the former LA Lakers player a list of names of women whom he could pick from for dating, but the player is said to have turned each one of them down, saying none of them was his type. He then came up with his own suggestions, it is claimed

It is alleged that he told Samuels: “All I want is you or Rihanna.”
However, the newspaper said, Samuels hinted at the Loud singer’s age saying: “Rihanna is too young - 19 - she is just legal.”

Neither Samuels nor O’Neal, who retired from professional basketball in June this year, have commented on these reports.

Rihanna Dances On a Yacht

There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by that we don't see a bikini-clad Rihanna livin' it up poolside -- or in this case, on a private yacht.

The sexy singer recently stripped down to a bright blue bikini to catch some sun and do a little dancing in Saint Tropez and X17online.com was there to document the action.

The pop star drank the day away -- she and her pals were sipping on Champagne from some very fancy crystal glasses -- and even got their dance on.

Rihanna's see view

The singer has been non-stop while on her European trip with her pals.

Now in Portofino, Italy, the star dressed to impress as she headed out to check the local nightlife.

Just hours earlier she was necking wine with pals over lunch at the resort.

The singer also tucked into an ice cream during a shopping spree.

Wearing a sexy one-piece suit, the singer looked as tasty as her dessert.

Rihanna's personal trainer Ary Nunez recently revealed: "Chocolate ice cream is her comfort food. She says to me, 'I need my quota.' I believe deprivation leads to disaster, so I don't stop her — that'd be asking for trouble."
Huge crowds hung around on the quayside to catch a glimpse of the R&B chart-topper.

Maybe that's why she went off snorkelling for the afternoon.

Rihanna gets cosy with a girlfriend

RAUNCHY Rihanna got all cosy with a girlfriend as they sailed off the coast of Italy, planting a smacker on her lips.

Don’t worry, the singing sensation hasn’t come out of the closet... but her support act have.

Cover Drive pranksters, Jamar, T-Ray and Barry, whose single ‘Lick Ya Down’ comes out tomorrow, tried to pull a jape on fellow band-mate, Amanda.

Hiding in what they thought was her wardrobe, the three lads leapt out only to find themselves face to face with Rihanna... in her smalls. A source said: “It turns out they had the wrong dressing room.

“Luckily for them, RiRi saw the funny side.”

Rihanna reveals never-seen-before chin scar

Rihanna recently revealed a never-seen-before scar on her chin at the V Festival, fuelling rumours that the singer might have undergone a plastic surgery procedure, such as chin augmentation or reduction or a chin lift.

The 23-year-old singer lifted up her head and displayed the two tiny scars as she performed on stage at the music event at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex over the weekend.

It is not known how Rihanna got the scar, but the singer didn''t have it when she performed on 'The X Factor' last October, reports the Daily Mail.

It has previously been reported that she also has a permanent scar on her lip from where her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown punched her in 2009.
Rihanna, who wore a revealing denim shirt and tiny shorts for the performance at V, treated fans to a string of hits including 'What''s My Name', 'Disturbia', 'Rude Boy' and 'S and M'.

Rihanna rekindles romance

Rihanna is reportedly back with her first boyfriend Negus Sealy, a ladies' man in Barbados known by locals as 'Love God', whose shoulder she used to cry on after her ex Chris Brown beat her up.

They have been inseparable since the 'Umbrella' star arrived in her homeland 12 days ago, and Sealy, 26, who dated Rihanna before she hit the big time, was seen hanging out at her villa on the posh Sandy Lane estate.

"Negus has hardly left her side. He was her first true love. The ladies here all love him - they call him the Love God," the Sun quoted a source as saying.
"They've hooked up in the past when she's been back in Barbados but now things have progressed into a proper relationship again," the source said.

Sealy was also photographed dirty dancing with her at the annual Kadooment Day festival of Barbados.

"They were all over each other and their dancing got very hot and heavy," a fellow reveller said.

Rihanna poses for the new Vita Coco Tropical Fruit

Vita Coco, which produces pure coconut water, launched Vita Coco Tropical Fruit with Rihanna’s support, as she agreed to pose for their ad campaigns.

Business Wire reports that this new beverage will combine coconut water, pink guava, orange, red dragon fruit, as well as pineapple.

So, why did Rihanna agree to pose for the new Vita Coco drink? “I grew up in Barbados, so when Vita Coco approached me to help develop a new flavor, I thought we should combine the natural coconut water with fresh tropical fruits—two of my favorite things,” the singer says, according to Business Wire. “It tastes so delicious and reminds me of home.”
According to Business Wire, the new beverage will have Rihanna’s signature to confirm the collaboration. Monsters and Critics reports that the ad features the singer sitting on a hammock by the beach.

Rihanna's Bikini Bod STRUNG OUT

Just when you thought Rihanna couldn't wear any less clothes in her home country of Barbados -- the curvy-licious singer hit the beach today ... wearing THIS.

Rihanna rekindles Barbados romance

Don't believe rumours that Bajan superstar Rihanna is shacking up with Canadian rapper Drake because she's rekindled her romance with an old lover from Barbados.

British newspaper The Sun reported yesterday that Rihanna, 23, who dated 26-year-old ''Lucky'' Negus Sealy just before the What's My Name singer hit the big time, had been seen dirty dancing with the same man locals refer to as "the Love God".

The newspaper said the pair had been "inseparable" since the singer arrived back home almost two weeks ago for the Bajan annual Kadooment Day festival.
The Sun claims the pair have been relaxing at Riri's villa on the flashy Sandy Lane estate.

An unnamed friend was quoted as saying: "Negus has hardly left her side. He was her first true love. They've hooked up in the past when she's been back in Barbados, but now things have progressed into a proper relationship again."

The two were pictured frolicking on a beach five years ago and she reportedly went back to see Negus after her very public break-up with boyfriend Chris Brown.

Pictures and videos of the pair appeared all over the internet, showing Rihanna and Negus dirty-dancing during a parade - at some stages looking very together and sexual.

An onlooker told the newspaper: "They were all over each other and their dancing got very hot and heavy."

Rihanna dances in skimpy outfit in Barbados for annual Kadooment Day celebration

Rihanna brought her show on the road yesterday, quite literally.

The 23-year-old singer, who just completed the North American leg of her "LOUD" tour, managed to spend some time at home in Barbados for the annual Kadooment Day celebration, which commemorates the end of the harvest season.

Sporting a jewel-encrusted bikini, fishnets, elaborate red garter belts and plenty of flashy jewelry, Rihanna, who serves as an official tourism ambassador for Barbados, danced on a float and with members of the crowd.

I don't want to be a role model

The pop star says she likes to get attention with her sense of style. "Getting dressed, I want to pick the most bizarre pair of shorts so I can figure out how to make it look right, or work an outfit that will make people go, "What the hell is she wearing?"

On hating drama…and perfection: "I hate drama. But at the same time, nothing bothers me more than when life's perfect. And that's the sick part. I just love a challenge, whether it's a relationship, my career, clothing..."

On dealing with how messy life can get: "I think honesty is the ultimate liberation in life. People want to shy away from the truth and keep sweeping it under the rug. But after a while, you pick up the rug and there's just way too much dirt, so you might as well just be up front about it."
On being a role model for young girls: "I want to set the right example and, at the same time, live my life….I feel like pop stars can't be rock stars anymore because they have to be role models, and it takes the fun out of it for us, because we just want to have fun with art."

On liking dominant guys in the bedroom: "I play a very dominant role in my life, in every aspect of it. And I like to feel like a lady still, at some point. I feel like that's the time when a guy really gets to be a man, and I get to be a woman. And if I'm being a man in the bedroom too, there's nothing really in it for me."

On her friendship with Katy Perry: "All my friends are guys, to be completely honest. But when I met her, it was such a breath of fresh air. I just couldn't believe this chick had no edit button….Katy and Lady Gaga came out of the gate exactly the way they think, the way they wanna dress, the way they wanna speak."

Rihanna to perform at X Factor boot camp?

In what could be some of the greatest news we've heard since the day someone found a copy of Now 46 in the office, Rihanna is rumoured to be playing this year's X Factor at the boot camp stage.

Yeah, the boot camp stage. Pretty weird right? Well the X Factor gang (who hopefully all have matching bumbags) have allegedly decided that seeing as Chezza and Dezza Minezza (the artist formerly known as Dannii Minogue) aren't on the panel this year, they need to add some more spice to the show.
Rihanna is said to be scheduled to perform in front of the judges before the contestants take to the stage during boot camp, y'know, just to make them feel really good about their performances because Rihanna's will clearly be a bit shoddy.

Rihanna likes to feel “like a lady” in the bedroom

The ‘S&M’ hitmaker – who is currently single – is happy to be forthright and forceful in her everyday life, but says when it comes to sex, she wants to be treated “like a lady”.

Explaining why she likes a man to take charge, she said: “I play a very dominant role in my life, in every aspect of it. And I like to feel like a lady still, at some point.

“I feel like that’s the time when a guy really gets to be a man, and I get to be a woman. And if I’m being a man in the bedroom too, there’s nothing really in it for me.”

The red-haired beauty also spoke of her frustration that she can’t act like a “rock star” and have more fun in her career because she is a role model for many young girls.

She told the September issue of America’s Glamour magazine: “I want to set the right example and, at the same time, live my life….I feel like pop stars can’t be rock stars anymore because they have to be role models, and it takes the fun out of it for us, because we just want to have fun with art.”
However, the 23-year-old pop superstar admits her image now is much more how she wants it to be than it was when she first shot to fame six years ago.

She explained: “In the beginning of my career, it was really strict for me. I couldn’t wear pink or red lipstick; it was just bizarre. We had a young fan base, and they were trying to keep me fresh. But I just really wanted to be myself. I wanted to be sassy, the attitude, all these things that I am.”

Rihanna 'to appear on X Factor 2011'

As well as watching Rihanna perform at the V Festival this month, fans of the Barbadian pop superstar will soon get to see her on television screens in the next series of The X Factor.

The singer has reportedly been signed up to perform for the show's contestants during the boot camp phase of the singing competition.

She is also expected to give her views on some of the hopefuls after hearing them sing.

Rihanna could provide a welcome boost in star power for the series, which will not feature Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole or Dannii Minogue this year.
A source from the show said: "[It will be] very nerve-racking for the contestants but great viewing for the audience.

"Who could follow Rihanna and be confident? This will definitely weed out the good from the bad."

The S&M singer will be wowing fans with V Festival tickets this month, playing at Weston Park on August 20th before heading to Hylands Park the following day.

Rihanna has already started work on her next album

4 August 2011 - Rihanna has already started work on her next album.

The 'Umbrella' singer is already "closing up" recording on her sixth record according to Verse Simmonds, part of production duo The Jugganauts, who worked on her track 'Man Down', from her last album, 'Loud'.

He told MTV: "From what I understand, she is closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved and I'm really excited about them as well. They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts."

Verse added the song will have a different sound to 'Man Down', as Rihanna is always trying to better herself creatively and change her sound.
He said: "It'll definitely not sound the same, because we always try, constantly — as producers, as artists — we try to always come with something different, a whole new sound."

It was rumoured earlier this year Rihanna was to work with Beyonce Knowles on a track, which could be included on her next album.

A source said: "Rihanna has wanted to work with Beyonce for some time now and, after talking about a duet at this year's Grammys, they have finally managed to set aside some time to record together."

Rihanna named woman of the year

London: Singer Rihanna has been named woman of the year by Italian Vogue magazine.

Rihanna was honoured for her charity work, pop success and her ability to tackle adversity in personal life, including troubled relationships with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and drug addict father Ronald Fenty.

"Independent, energetic, the young Robyn Rihanna Fenty (only 23) is our woman of the year, and not just by virtue of numbers and figures but also, and foremost, for her kind and fighting spirit," contactmusic.com quoted a spokesperson from the magazine as saying.

"The same spirit that brought her from Barbados to the top of the music charts achieving a career which she has forged and mastered completely by herself (whose last move was to become the new ambassador for Armani)," it said.
"Rihanna is the undisputed best contender to the role of queen of pop. Her career has always been based on the cunning use of sexiness and provocation.

"She has managed to cultivate her career despite the many tragedies affecting her private life: from her father's addiction to crack ... to the violence caused to her in 2009 by her then-boyfriend, Chris," the spokesperson added.

Rihanna had first graced the cover of the fashion magazine in September 2009.

Rihanna causes controversy as she admits starving herself before magazine photoshoot

Rihanna has caused controversy by admitting she starved herself ahead of a photoshoot for Esquire magazine.

The 23-year-old singer tweeted that she had been restricting her food intake before she was photographed for the men's publication.

She said on Wednesday: '#RihannaNavy I shot my first cover for Esquire yesterday with Russell James #rockstars*** Not much preparation for that besides wax+starve!!'

Maybe the Rated R singer was intimidated by some of celebrity photographer Russell James' previous subjects.

The Australian has worked with Victoria's Secret and appeared on America's Next Top Model alongside Tyra Banks.

However, whatever the reasons for Rihanna's admission, fans were quick to come forward to criticise the singer for her confession.
One responded: '@rihanna starve?? why?? thats a bad message to your fans ri-ri im dissapointed'

Another said: '@rihanna how long did you starve??? That #rockstars*** doesn't seem fun!!'

Rihanna ignored the comments and later tweeted: 'British Vogue here I come....#ontothenextone

Fans will be wondering whether she regularly starves herself before a photoshoot.

Rihanna's Hairstyle Takes Turn for Worst

Rihanna recently stepped out in a new hairstyle that was shocking to say the least—and not in a good way. There's no doubt that the Man Down hottie is a Cover Girl. But since she released her Loud album, she just hasn't been able to get her look quite right.

If the Sideshow Bob hair wasn't enough, Rihanna had to take it one step further. MediaTakeOut recently caught her out and about and, well... it wasn't pretty. You can still see red, but this time around, it's more of a brassy, orange color on top of the singer's head. You know... the kind you get form a dye job gone wrong.

Plus the body of Rihanna's wavy weave was all wrong. But to make matters worse, it looked like the '70s threw up her romper. Please, someone call Stacy and Clinton, stat! There's a fashion emergency that needs to be resolved.
One can only hope the Bahamian singer outgrows her Loud look stage soon enough. Sometimes Good Girls Gone Bad just do it better. A simple black pixie haircut is all Rihanna really needs to achieve true beauty.

David LaChapelle vs Rihanna: pre-trial ruling in photographer’s favour

Early this year, David LaChapelle filed a copyright claim against the label of Rihanna, accusing the Barbadian singer of copying scenes from his images in her video clip S&M.

A pre-trial ruling by a federal court in New York went in favour of the photographer, meaning that the case can now go to trial.

However, copyright laws protect the works themselves and not the idea. According to the court, the subject of the photos is not copy protectable, but several compositional elements in the video are similar to that of the photographs, meaning that Rihanna and her label could be found guilty of copyright infringement. This could mean that the distinction between the idea for an artwork and the work itself will no longer be one of the defining aspects of copyright.

Rihanna is expected to defend her case in court. The ruling might be of some encouragement to Phillip Paulus, a German photographer who has also accused the singer of plagiarism.

Judge Throws Out Singer Rihanna’s Claims of Fair Use, David LaChappelle’s Lawsuit Allowed to Continue

Hot off the heals of Monday’s two posts about high-profile, design-based lawsuits moving forward, here we have yet another. You might recall that back in February, the story that singer Rihanna and her director had swiped concepts from David LaChappelle‘s photographs for one of her videos, moved quickly from internet chatter to a full-fledged lawsuit.

The singer’s legal team tried to fight the suit off, claiming that usual cry of fair use, but this week, PDN reports that a federal judge “refused to dismiss David LaChapelle’s copyright claim,” and even called the decision to try and fight from that angle “misguided and ‘unavailing.’” So now, assuming Rihanna and her record label don’t just settle with the famous photographer, the case will move forward starting in mid-August. Here’s a bit:
“Both works share the frantic and surreal mood of women dominating men in a hypersaturated, claustrophobic domestic space. Thus, I find that an ordinary observer may well overlook any differences and regard the aesthetic appeal of “Striped Face” and the “Pink Room Scene” as the same,” Judge Shira A. Scheindlin wrote in her decision.

She reached the same conclusion after comparing other video scenes to particular images by LaChapelle.

`Rock stars can`t be rock stars anymore`

Rihanna believes that rock stars aren't allowed to be rock stars anymore because of the pressure to be a good role model.

The 23-year-old singer said that people expect celebrities to behave perfectly, all of the time, which she believes 'takes the fun out of it'.

Talking about the restrictions placed on her, she told Glamour magazine, 'In the beginning of my career, it was really strict for me. I couldn't wear pink or red lipstick. It was just bizarre.

'We had a young fan base, and they were trying to keep me fresh. But I really just wanted to be myself. I wanted to be sassy, the attitude, all the things that I am.

'I want to set the right example and, at the same time, live my life.
'I feel like pop stars can't be rock stars anymore because they have to be role models, and it takes the fun out of it for us, because we just want to have fun with art.'

And on the subject of her friendship with fellow pop star Katy Perry, she said the California Gurls singer was a 'breath of fresh air'.

'All my friends are guys, to be completely honest. But when I met her, it was such a breath of fresh air. I just couldn't believe this chick had no edit button,' she said.

'Katy and Lady Gaga came out of the gate exactly the way they think, the way they wanna dress, the way they wanna speak.'

Rihanna Plays Hard To Get

Rihanna who's currently on her LOUD tour and partying through her tour stops reveals she likes to play hard to get and men should have to earn her affection.

Rihanna covered the August issue of U.K Cosmo and revealed,

"I'm open to love. But guys should have to earn it because, the minute they get it, they want something else."

"Men are like hunters, they like the chase, so you have to keep 'em guessing. I'm like that too. I get bored fast. So if someone can make me laugh, that's the best.
"I'm turned on by different things. It could be the way he looks. It could be his intelligence. It's really a spontaneous thing," she added.

Rihanna who broke up with baseball star Matt Kemp has been linked with Young Money rapper Drake - the pair dated briefly in the past.

Rihanna's 'open to love'

Rihanna has revealed that she'd be happy to a start a relationship with someone and would like to meet a man who makes her laugh.

The 23-year-old singer, who is due to perform in front of fans with V Festival tickets next month, told Cosmopolitan magazine that she's "open to love".

However, in a warning to would-be suitors, she insisted: "Guys should have to earn it, because the minute they get it, they want something else."
The Barbadian star added: "Men are like hunters; they like the chase. So you have to keep 'em guessing."

She also revealed that when it comes to love, she finds it hard to reveal her softer side, claiming it's easier to act tough than to show vulnerability.

And when quizzed on her 'type', she said she's attracted to guys with a good sense of humour.

Rihanna will be taking to the Virgin Media stage at this year's V Festival, which is due to take place on August 20th and 21st.

Rihanna loud and kinky at Rogers

'VE always regretted not seeing Britney Spears in her prime.

It's not so much because I'm a big fan of her music as it is that I know she put on an amazing show, a spectacle for all in attendance.

But after seeing Rihanna on her Loud tour last Friday night at Rogers Arena, I'm feeling a little better, because whatever Britney did, I'm pretty sure Rihanna did too - in high definition.
The show started when four video screens shaped like trashcan lids were lowered to the ground, cutting through various sexy images of the 23-year-old Barbadian singer all the while.

Then, she emerged. Dressed in a short, electric-blue trench coat and bright pink booties with neon heels, the R&B princess opened with "Only Girl (in the World)" and for the next two hours it seemed like she was.

The coat soon slipped off revealing what was essentially a multi-coloured sequined bikini as Rihanna belted her way into "Disturbia" and then "Shut Up and Drive."

Eight dancers all sporting highlighter-hued outfits surrounded the star for most of the night, in what turned out to be a very kinky show. I'm talking air humping, stripping, chains - at one point, the red-headed beauty asked "Hey Vancouver, who wants to come up here and get freaky with me?"

Thousands of girls and hundreds of guys in the crowd screamed deafeningly in response.

Review: Rihanna turns up sex appeal

Rihanna certainly knows how to excite a crowd.

She does so by belting out big dance-floor hits and she does it by crooning through equally appealing ballads. She accomplishes it with the help of a live band, which does a great job refashioning her radio singles for the stage, as well as with the assistance of a killer dance crew. She wins with big production numbers, full of all the outlandish bells and whistles one now expects from a true pop spectacle, but she also triumphs in the stripped-down settings.

Above all else, however, Rihanna uses pure sex appeal to get the job done. And she certainly succeeded on Thursday night at Oracle Arena.

The Barbadian R&B star's fourth concert trek, the Loud Tour, is one of the sexiest road shows to touch down in the Bay Area in ages. The Oakland outing was bawdy, naughty and erotic -- to an extent that might've made Madonna blush at times -- and perfectly in step with the star's overall sexy makeover, underscored by the recent album titles "Good Girl Gone Bad" (2007) and "Rated R" (2009).
The 23-year-old vocalist got the party rolling in high style as she opened the show with a dizzying take on "Only Girl (In the World)," one of the six singles released (thus far) from her fifth and latest CD, last year's "Loud."

The opening production was such an onslaught on the senses that it was initially hard to focus on the intended theme -- if, indeed, there was one. She made her entrance via gigantic ball, wheeled into view by dancers wearing bizarre neon jumpsuits and something resembling catcher's masks, and she looked great in a metallic blue mini-raincoat, which really wouldn't have provided much protection from the elements.

She'd soon shed that raincoat -- maybe because the forecast didn't call for rain - and boogie about in a heavily jeweled bikini, which looked like something Cleopatra would've worn on a sunny day down at the Nile. Oh, yeah, and she'd do it during "Disturbia" — although, at this point, the music still seemed like an afterthought.

After things settled down a bit, it became easier to understand how the theatrics matched with the music — mostly because Rihanna made it simple for us. The staging for "Shut Up and Drive," for instance, was basically just an old car, which the band's guitarist -- Nuno Bettencourt, of Extreme fame -- would climb upon to solo.

Things got a bit raunchy during the cover of Prince's "Darling Nikki," as Rihanna appeared wearing a fitted tuxedo and used a cane to spank her scantily clad female dancers. She'd lose the tuxedo, and be stripped down to sexy under garments by those same dancers, as Bettencourt wailed through another guitar solo. Yeah, it was in bad taste. The guitar solo, that is.

Rihanna & Drake: Canadian Dinner Date

Making time for each other, Rihanna and Drake were seen out and about in Montreal, Canada last night (June 12).

The “Russian Roulette” songstress and her handsome beau made sure to leave their hotel separately and met up at Buonanotte Restaurant for some tasty eats.

Last week, Rihanna brought Drake out onstage to sing a duet of their hit song “What’s My Name?” and even let him sing a few of his own tunes.

Other than that, Ri-Ri has been dealing with the controversy surrounding her recently-released video for “Man Down.”

Rihanna shows off her curves

She's no stranger to showing off her body in risque outfits on stage.

But last night Rihanna decided to push the boundaries of everyday fashion as she went for dinner wearing a sheer knitted roll neck which left little to the imagination.

The 23-year-old singer failed to maintain any modesty in the top as she was also going bra-less for the occasion.

Rihanna teamed the top with a matching skirt as she headed to the Telus Theater in Montreal, Canada, where she was apparently paid an astonishing $100,000 for a two-hour appearance in the club.
The California King Bed singer had flown into Montreal over the weekend to watch the Canadian Grand Prix.

And her number one song Umbrella was never more appropriate as when Rihanna got caught in a downpour during a dramatic day of Formula 1 racing.
